Monday October 27, 2014

This week has been ups and downs as with everything.

I have started doing something in my studies and have began to try and focus my studies on my investigators more, I noticed I focused alot on myself but I haven't understood it well. But right now my study room is now up and running and I am first trying to memorize quotes, scriptures, Have inspiring words on my walls so I have written alot out and stuck it on my wall. It has really been able to help me and I plan to put sticky notes all over the house. :) Hopefully my companion likes Scriptures :)

So my main part of my studies recently has focused as the rest have on Obedience alot. I am currently trying to do the best I can with all things, I am currently going through this week the white handbook to see the blessings that come from obedience as we read through why these things are given unto us. This study has helped me better understand why we are given each of these rules. I plan this week to go through and look at what we are REQUIRED to do as missionaries and see all that is expected of us.

I have also focused largely on asking Questions. Each day I take Preach My gospel and go through one principle in the lessons and look for all the questions both inspired questions I want to ask those I teach or questions that could arise, and at the moment I am just going through and thinking of them, once I finish through all the principles I will be going through and looking for SCRIPTUREs to answer each question. This has really helped me understand the way to teach and this week I landed in Alma 5 in my studies and just reaffirmed the need and the power that asking questions does and is. It is necessary, to truly teach people we must listen, we must ask for confirmation, check understanding, apply it i their lives and apply it to our own lives, only then will it happen like that.

I have been also studying in Alma right now in the book of Mormon. And there were some things that stood out to me. 1. The thing that stops growth the most is when we as members of the church become prideful, it is not outside people who break down the church but it is us as we become prideful. 2. We are to labour among our people those who are our coworkers, neighbours and whatever else. 3. If we are not living the principles we profess to Live it will prevent others from partaking of his goodness. 4. You mus too dedicate yourself Wholly to our High God to be able to bear powerful testimony.
5. Be bold and ask questions on accountability. 6. Teach plainly so NOONE can misunderstand you.

These are just a few of the insights ~I gained but thought they were significant at this time.
One last comment from my studies.
In Alma 7, it talks about how God cannot change his paths he cannot differ from good to evil. God's words are eternal and binding, if he says one thing he cannot do something else. All good things come from God, never has he produced anything that was wicked, but he who is the devil acts in wicked ways.

If it is good it is of God.
I bear witness that your feelings will not lead you astray and if YOU listen to your mind and your heart you will never be decieved, If you have not yet prayed to know if these things are true I invite you to do so, and if you have come to know of the truthfulness of these things and have strayed I urge you to come back and remember those feelings the lord has brought forth on each of you.

This week has been interesting, It has been a fairly good week, alot of reflection and alot of forward planning has amounted in the space in my head. As I have pondered the ideas on how to become better, I have began to create plans for implementation.

We have been using our companionship study time more effectively trying to use it wholly for the practice and increasing of knowledge between the two of us.

So on Monday:
We had P-day, we went to a place called Ruby Beach, we were told you could find ruby pieces there all along the beach we searched and found none, however it was a beautiful day and it was in a place called Elie. we than had a dinner appointment but because of busses we had to go to it in P-day clothes which was fun :P showing up in Trousers and a t shirt. It was a good evening, spent family home evening wit this family near by us.

Tuesday was interesting, So we began our day with district Meeting and the zone leaders were there, however the district leader and zone leaders were late so that was funny, It was a good day of instruction and we focused largely on the FAITH to Find. we talked about faith and looked at how to study christlike attributes. It was a good meeting we then went to Methil Library to meet our investigator however he is homeless and was living at one hostel and now lives at another hostel , well we went to the Previous hostel and they told us he had been switched to another hostel, he doesn't have a phone and google doesn't know where this place was. We then headed to another appointment which was good we talked about the Plan of Salvation and how we all lived with God before we came here to get our bodies, it was recieved well, we later went into Kirkcaldy, one of Elder parry's last area member's took us out for tea which was delicious, we then had a scripture study class which went very well, oh yeah we also found out that there was going to be a baptism tomorrow night.

Wednesday, we had several appointments and they ALL fell through all with potential investigators as well, so that was challenging, we went knocking and street contacting and lended up doing alright, We then had been invited for Tea by a member who's family are not members and it went very well, I met some of them previously in Perth. With us going to their home it was hard to make it to the baptism we got there 20 minutes late, but were there and when we got in, we saw both of our 2 investigators there.
With our homeless friend I prayed the night before and in the morning pleading with heavenly father that He would be there and he was, I started to cry from the blessings of the Lord, and our other one is so great, he is IRISH and he felt the spirit immensely and he is so excited for his baptism on November 19th. He loved it so much. That made my whole day of fall throughs worth every moment of it.

Thursday, we taught a potential and his friend lended up being there as well so we taught him too, they were very big ito science proof so it was good, they didn't allow us to talk too much but we bore testimony and invited which was good,
We then had bishop come to see our investigator from Ireland, and Our investigator expressed his desires to be baptised which was so neat. Great day then we met with our homeless friend again and i this hostel he was able to have us in this time. It was a nice place. With him he needs to know that we can be forgive of all, I know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ all of our sis and all of our guilt and mistakes can be blotted out. and the Lord will remember them no more, I love that promise.

Friday was a day of finding, then we had an activity in the evening where the members are teaching everyone how to do a Kaeli ( scottish dancing) it was hilarious.but fun, not too many people showed up though unfortunately but our friend did.

Saturday was an interesting day for us, We taught our main guy again and he was so prepared and it was great however our homeless guy wasn't at his meeting which was hard because we have no other way to get a hold of him. we then chapped several doors and did alot of finding and went to stop in at a member's house to use their toilet. And talked with them for abit then went back some formers and potentials and no answers and felt abit scary in one area we were in. So we left.

Sunday was great, He came to church for the first time today and was inviting everyone to his baptism, he is so awesome, he loved church and had input in alll 2 classes. We had the primary presentation today and I started to cry and my investigator asked me if I was okay and I was like shh don't say it too loud :P.
The theme was on families can be together forever and closing hymn was 300 families can be together forever. It talks alot about the family that is ideal for raising children, and I know my immediate family was hard, and it was difficult but the spirit was whispering to me all meeting that I will have the chance to do it all when we have a family of our own. So that was comforting for me. We then had a munch and mingle and I saw one of the teachers that was at the MTC when I was there she happens to be the sister of one of the ladies in my ward, interestingly enough.
After we had potentials to go by and they weren't there but we chapped and heard a loud argument of two people which was hard to hear but, a few doors after we got let in, his name is so close to my name and he had actually joined the church 14 years previous moved alot and didn't know where to find it, he is currently in the gospel hall, but he let us come in and teach him the restoration, he was so nice and generous to us all, But the festivities of the night didn't end there.    We also went to a baptist church meeting, friends of ours we have met in Buckhaven had invited us so we went. We invite people to come and ask them to come to our church so we need to be willing to learn of others. I was asked how I came to join the Mormon church, and I answered, I grew up going to catholic and went to other churches and always felt something missing, so of course she said did you try baptist, and I said yeah, and she asked what happened, I answered I had the same feeling there as the other ones, (there wasn't the holy Ghost) she then replied you must not have been at the right baptist church. That was interesting then as the night went on two of them began to try to get confrontational with us, to debate doctrines, and with us being at their service we couldn't retaliate it wouldn't have been respectful. There was this one lady who was trying to conflict with my companion, she was asking if we believe we are saved. We said well we hope so, because their doctrine is based on just the belief of Christ which saves u and they don't believe they need to do any works, so we just told them what we know and left it at that. She was trying to contend but that is not of God so we left it, ad even one of their own members could tell she was trying to contend with us we ran into our friend today and she noticed it. So it was interesting.

I know that this church is the only church with the restored keys and thee ordinances necessary for salvation within it. It has been restored through Joseph Smith and is on the Earth Today. The Holy Ghost bears witness to all who are humble seekers of this truth and if any of you haven't gained this truth and would like to read the Book of Mormon and ask God the eternal father in the name of his beloved son Jesus Christ if these things are not true and if you ask with real intent, having faith in Christ he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the Power of the holy Ghost. and you will know this by the fruits of the spirit, Calmness, gentleness, love, compassion and so forth

You will know and you will not be able to deny it just like I know and the Spirit causes me to bear witness of these things because I know they will change YOUR life and change the lives of all who are humble seekers of truth.

The book of Mormon has the fullness of God's teachings and a complete knowledge of Christ being the son of God and redeemer and savior of all,.

I love all of you and invite you to visit mormon.org if you have any questions, concerns, or would like a copy of the book of mormon.

I Promise you it will change your life if you let it. <3

I love you and think of you every day and my heart and mind ponder upon your well being and desire you to all be safe.

Monday Oct 20, 2014

So this week has been Wonderful,
I can't explain it but the Lord has seen fit to bless us immensely this week, no words can explain all that he has done for us. We have been lead to people, our investigators have had problems with Work for sunday and got it changed easily, We had someone at church and he saw people glowing just like I did my first time. He also looked at us and said so when can I get baptised, We went tracting and finding on Saturday and found 8 potentials all to do with change and family. We were tracting and found a man, as we knocked on a house having a party, he was wasted but he came to us and said he wants to change his life he told us to come to his house on Sunday at 6pm and show him how he can change , unfortunately he wasn't there but I am confident we will see him again. The Lord is so full of wonders and miracles and performs them on everyone.
I don't have much time to talk we are going to a place called Ruby Beach, but it's been a good week

My studies this week focused mainly on OBEDIENCE. I also studied the talk the fourth missionary, and came to realize the main difference between being a third and fourth missionary is Love. If you love the work and love the people you do it because god needs you to and you align your will with the Lords. It is absolutely magnificient. I studied a few talks by Neil A. Maxwell as well on the topics of obedience and doing the right things.

However I love all of you

I love you <3

P.S I will write much more next week I love you all, don't have much time, but I couldn't explain the miracles the Lord has given unto us and the way we have been able to be led and put our full trust in him. It is incomparable

I  KNOW THAT GOD IS THERE, I know that he hears your prayers, I Know his desires are fulfilled as we willingly obey. I KNOW THIS CHURCH IS TRUE, I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Monday October 14, 2014 - Building a testimony of the Lord preparing to receive us, studying Alma, zone development and flat checks!

Hey everyone,

With this week we have been blessed a lot. This week really built my testimony about the Lord preparing people to recieve you. It is ABSOLUTELY 100% true. With opening an area it has been hard and in doing so my companion and I have been focusing very largely on the aspect of OBEDIENCE. As you are obedient in all things and are truly DESIRING this work to go forth the Lord will use you in his hands. He wants to bless you, he loves YOU, and he will bless you as long as you follow Doctrine and Covenants 130:20-21: Paraphrased says  There is a law irrevocably decreed in heaven in which all blessings are predicated, and when we recieve any blessing it is on the obedience of the law in which it is predicated. I love that so much and can TESTIFY to you brothers and sisters that Obedience is the first law of the Gospel without it you withhold so much from yourself. The Lord desires to bless you in all aspects, but because he is bound by laws he can't bless you unless you deserve it. I love that so much, and this past week we have been talking alot about the nature of God, in all of our lessons, and i have learned to simplify the definition, spend more time on the nature and origin of God and then we will establish first that sure foundation in which we can build upon in the future lessons. In my studies this week I Studied in the Book Of Mormon, Finished Matthew in NT, read abit in chapter 8 " Use Time Wisely" from Preach My Gospel, and in the ensign from last conference.

In the conference edition I studied a few really good talks which really spoke to me.
The first was The Choice Generation- Ridd
It was all about the amount of choices we have each day, and recently I have really been studying Virtue on how to Improve and gain Righteous Virtue and it gradually changes, But this talk was talking alot about How our choices impact what we do and how easy it is to do what our heart desires. It is all about DISCIPLINE and he gives us four things to do
1. Knowing who you really are- here he shared a story of a boy who got a glimpse of who he was which changed his life. This really struck me, Throughout my time in the church I have been able to come to know Who I truly am and who I truly was in the Preexistence. I know a part of my divine potential and we all have divine potential and the Lord provides each of us with these things.
2. Plug into the Source of Power: He was comparing it to our phones, how often do you leave the house with a full charge on your cell phone, and answer texts right away? He tells us should we not put more emphasis on the communication with the Lord. As I studied Virtue it talked about your mind being a stage, and if wholesome thoughts occupy it, dark unrighteous thoughts can not enter so if we are constantly treasuring up the words of life as we are commanded to, we would have an easier time resisting these worldly things.
3. Use Technology Wisely, Don't let it consume your life.
4. Given to Accomplish his Purposes:
The Lord provides these things to better strengthen his kingdom and to be strengthened against the temptations of the World. it provides many wonderful opportunities to do things in a world sense.
REMEMBER THAT.

The Next Talk I read was " I have given you an Example"- Richard G Scott
Emphasizing how big a role being an example is on the lives of all those around you. And with understanding who we are being an example to those who don't have that knowledge yet for themselves.

Then I studied Where your treasure is. It was very good at getting us to look inward and see the purposes of why things we do, and also to show ourselves the reasons we do the things we do.
I enjoyed a quote it read" There is no end to what the world has to offer, so it is critical that we learn to recognize when we have enough."
It really showed me how vicious and debilitating the world is and if we aren't constantly being watchful and making righteous choices we will fall to it's enticings.

I was also studying in Matthew 27- Mark 2. I really enjoyed the command we are given by the saviour to go into the world, to preach and to baptize and with the savior informing those things, I love how I have the priviledge to be one of them he has sent into the world to preach his gospel.

In Book of Mormon I was reading Alma 2, I read about Amliki, and how he tried to gain favor by the people, he lost the vote and when he did he reviled against the Nephites and started trying to come upon Alma and his people to destroy them. As the Nephites fought back they had the strength of the Lord on their side and drew them back, and as the enemy fleed they joined with the Lamanites, Now the Lamanites and Amlikites clearly outnumbering the Nephites came unto them to battle, but even though the numbers were FEW they Fought back and sent the Lamanites retreating.
I just love this so Much, BECAUSE of the FAITH and TRUST the Nephites had in the LORD, they were able to fight off an army more numerous then their own and cause them to flee from before them. And in the battle Alma, is fighting with Amliki and puts his trust in God, and covenants to spend all of his life preaching the Gospel if the Lord were to deliver him. The Lord delivers him and throughout the Book of Mormon you see Alma complete that oath baptizing and teaching thousands in his lifetime.

Throughout my week we had many miracles.
One of them was we came to the library to do e-mails last Monday and as we came to do e-mails a man came and started talking to us about the gospel, he is prodestant and is very entrigued, and we have taught him 3 times since including today,  he also had a friend he introduced us too last week who is now meeting with us as well which is so amazing,

This same thing happened with another of the people we found, he also had a friend who was catholic who is now learning as well.

I am so grateful to be here, the area isn't the greatest but there are so many people who want to change their lives and make changes to be better, and the Lord has blessed us with so much.

We had Zone development this week and it was fun had alot of fun activities and a funny thing happened. We were all getting lifts in the cars,
I was in one car with the sisters and the zoneleaders, and my companion was in another car, As they drove us to the bus station we got mixed up and the other car, went to another bus stop so I was to get on the bus just with the sisters, which wasn't too bad because we were picking them up however, as we got to the stop the elders were all at, the bus drove right by, at this point I started freaking out abit, because I was part of a trio with two sisters for an hour long bus drive. It was okayed by Zone leaders, but it was weird but I can now Say I have been in a trio with two sisters, so that is funny. I got picked up by a member once we got to the bus station in Glenrothes to await for my companion and the member was confused, I can't blame him It was only me and the two sisters who got off the bus, I would've been confused too, but Hey it's a funny story to tell now.
Funny thing happened as well we had a flat check this week, and while the flat check was happening our neighbour had the police knocking his door pretty Loud :P it was quite funny.
We almost have everything we need for our flat now and it is looking like Home.

I love all of you guys.
Happy Birthday :)

Monday Oct 6, 2014 - Knee injury, studying Alma, zone conference and James says "rubbish" :)

Hello Everybody,

So this week leading up to conference was really good, We have began working with the members and determining the needs and desires of us and the ward, as it pertains to missionary work. It has been an interesting week. So to start off the week, I once again hurt myself. It isn't as bad as it could've been though which is magnificient. I ended up just stressing a ligament in my knee, however as we were all playing Chair Football on Monday for P-day, I felt an excrutiating pain that I had only once before felt and it was several years back when I dislocated my knee. As the pain riveted through my leg, and my knee popped, instantly I grabbed my knee and held it, thus stabilizing it in it's socket to prevent damage. I had to go to A and E and get it checked out but the Doctor said I did what I should've done and prevented more injury. My knee was majorly inflamed Monday and Tuesday so I couldn't do too much, but with a big limp the next few days I went to work. It was difficult but I was not going to let the work not go forth. My knee is now still abit inflamed so it is swollen but I can walk almost as good as normal, however the Doctor told me it would take more then a few days, less then a few months to heal, So I have to lay off of it and can't join in on the activities.
That will be nice though because I am so far behind in my letters and journal writing and will give me a chance to catch up in them but also give me extra time for studies, I have had the desire to read Jesus The Christ but I am a terribly slow reader.

My studies have been focused in The Book of Mormon but also a lot of personal reflection and evaluations.

In the Book of Mormon I have focused largely on Mosiah and in the ending chapters of Mosiah, it showcases so much Faith and knowledge that gives unto us Power and Strength from God in our Afflictions. I have also come to see that we are given these challenges for reasons that benefit us and turn into strengths. As I see the potential that Alma had when he came from a wicked life and his son and the sons of Mosiah are actively persecuting the Church , they have an angel/spiritual experience happen and they all became very powerful servants of the Lord. It is so incredible the principle we are taught to not judge others, and to look at the potential that they all have based on what they come from. It is such an inspiration to me to see the potential of all those that we teach and meet and the potential they have to be great members of the Lord's church and to be able to become great representatives of truth in this life and the one to come in the Past.

Along with studies in the Book of Mormon we had Zone Conference and General Conference studies this week which have showed me things I need to change and how we are all working together. That if one of those we know do something contrary to the calling of a missionary hat we all suffer, so to Look after those around us and strengthen all those and not just worry about ourselves. As we all work together then the Lord promises us blessings and strength over the wicked. But if one of us put our thoughts on the things of the World then all of Israel will perish, so it shows alot about how united we all are.

I unfortunately don't have much time anymore as the Library only allows for just over an hour, So Can't say much more.

We did have exchanges and zone conference this week alongside General Conference and throughout this week I have recommitted myself and made changes to try and become better as I have slacked a bit lately in some areas, and allowed myself to be a bit lazy with my journal, and my diet. But the week went well as I said my leg was sore this week because of my knee so the first few days were slightly rubbish but the work is starting to pick up now.

Love you all, and will try to write more next week,
I do miss all of you, and for those who are in Perth I am sad I didn't get to see you all in Bingham this weekend, but we had a satellite in Kirkcaldy so we didn't come down to Bingham :( But Stake conference is coming shortly and I will see you all there.

I love everyone

Trust in God, and trust in the council he gives unto all of you.

Monday Sept 29, 2014 - Studying, packing for Kirkcaldy, sports and having tea!

Hi Everybody as you all know I moved to Kirkcaldy Ward this week. My companion and I opened up in Leavenmouth this week and it has been several days of chaos, and Stress, But that is expected when Entering an area that none of you know anything about, Buses, opening a new flat, figuring out everything. It has been trying but it has been a learning experience none the least. This Work is Non- existent at the very moment right now but, As we get our barrings in order and Begin with our plan for our area Things are looking up for the Coming Week.

My studies this week, I focused on studying more in the Book Of Mormon, and Learning and application sections in Preach My Gospel, and have been trying to recall alot of my training area and what we did to further the work in Dublin.

I have been studying in Mosiah 16- 22, and have gained some valuable insights, one Of them was just how much we truly to covenant with Baptism and how we are held accountable to it. Also it showed me how much difficulties they went through when being in bondage to the Lamanites and the tactics and strength that had to occur For Limhi and his followers, and how instead of fighting all the time they used their brains and Once they had the lamanites coming against them again, They went forth among them with no weapons and the lamanites were pacified towards them and chose to return back to their land with their king. It also taught me to never judge, As the Lamanite King judged Limhi and his forces and went against them to war because he believed Limhi's people abducted their daughters, he attacked, and many of his forces were slain since the Nephites were protected and knew of the attacks. As we watch and Keep our armour and our defenses strong we will not fall to anything.
I also learned of the bondage and afflictions that had to be over King Limhi's people and because they were in bondage they turned to the Lord and he was slow to hear their prayers because of their iniquities but he did Begin to soften the hearts of the Lamanites to ease their burdens but the Lord did not see fit to deliver them. As we are in iniquity we fall short, but through the mercy of the Lord we can be forgiven and be aided but God is not used as a repairman, As we Maintain that relationship with him we strengthen us and everyone with us, and are closer to his help.

I was also studying Thessalonians 1-5: I learnt that we should be giving thanks continually in our prayers for everything that is given to us whether it be difficult or not.  We are also to strengthen our brethren who have fallen and have strayed or that have less faith then us. When we teach his word we are supposed to teach in a holy manner, we never want to decieve, or command others to do the things we want them to be doing.

In Preach My gospel I studied Chapter 9 and 13:  I learnt about just how important it is to use the members and strengthen them in this work. As we tract it isn't very effective because I know in my own life I wouldn't answer the door to someone knocking on my door, However as we build relationships with them and strengthen one another we become powerful.

My week this week was crazy,

Monday we cleaned the flat and packed, Then had a family home evening which was really fun. Played some extreme table Tennis and hung out.

On Tuesday said goodbye to lots of people and had alot of appointments. Got to see some of the people I haven't seen in a while and got to say goodbye to alot of the members I have gotten really close with. Had a book of Mormon class and got to say bye to them as well.

On Wednesday, We had P-day, I was in Dundee and we played Football, Basketball, and did some service there, We then Went out on Splits with Chinatown and came together to meet our companions. I picked up my companion at 8:30 and headed to the Zone Leader Flat. We Spent the night in Dundee and then Thursday we headed to open our new area

Thursday we had alot of things to do with trying to start up the area, Clean the flat, get food, Get all of our things, and get to know the bussing and the area.
Friday We had coordination meeting and met everyone and did finding and organizing of our ideas and then we had a Ward activity where the members were learning a Scottish Dance called Strip the Willow, I took notes :P
Saturday was a day of finding, and tried setting up appointments.

Sunday was a good day, We met alot of people, and got invited to a few places for Tea. Which is nice. We then went finding later in the day and Tried by a less active they werent in but 20 minutes later we got called to come for our Tea, which was nice. They were really nice. We also were invited for Dinner and got to know some of the members near us. It was a good Day.

Look forward to a busy week of finding and Relationship building love you all

Monday Sept 22, 2014 - Whitewashing in Kirkcaldy! District meeting/lunch, castle visit and investigators

Hiya Everybody, As the title says I am moving to..... Kirkcaldy Ward

I will be quite sad to see Perth going, but it was for the best, The work is going well and I am excited to see what continues at this point in time. So apparently my new Companion according to my recent companion is from Ohio and has been out about 15-16 Months so that is exciting. We will be Whitewashing the area because we are opening it, so that is exciting. The Lord must see something in me that I don't see.

Well So this week in Studies Read over more talks again,

I read Consecrated Missionary once again my Tad. R. Callister, since lately I've been slipping up a bit so to refocus my mind on obedience.
There was a part talking about how you must be obedient in ALL that you do, which really hit me. If you want to be obedient, you have to be willing to obey all the rules, and as I was writing that the quote from Joseph Smith Prophet of the Restoration, came into my head. "Laws are meant to protect us, if you want to be free you need to be willing to live all of them, I'm sorry but you have to pay the fine"

This morning as well I was studying Becoming a Preach My Gospel missionary by David A Bednar- mission presidents seminar And in this talk it spoke alot about How we must listen and allow the spirit to take control. Listening is a crucial part in all we do, and in the talk it says that if we try to show off ourself and our abilities when teaching the gospel, it is as if we are in a form of priestcraft.

I did however get to prepare instruction Which Was Fun, to be able to instruct on Listening and how important it is when Teaching. I was feeling down for some reason early in the week but I am good now.

So this week was a good week, good instruction good studies.

I am going to be better at recording what I study in future posts okay.

So this week was fun
Monday we went into Dundee for Sister McKerry's last P-day, we ended up going to Broughty Ferry Beach and it had a castle as well which was loads of fun, played games on the beach walked in the ocean found a jellyfish, had a blast. Afterwards I wa son exchange with Elder shubin in dundee and we met some kool people, We talked to several people and good all around city centre and met a few chinese people which was Nice. It was a good exchange,

Tuesday, We went to District Meeting, as I said earlier we all gave instruction to each other on our teaching skill we were assigned by Elder Patterson and me and him did Listening, It was good instruction. After that I was on exchange with Elder Liao, and because we had appointments we had to go fast to Lunch. We had a district Lunch at a place called City Harbour 6. 50 For all you can eat buffet, plus it was sister McKerry's last District meeting so we celebrated. After that Elder Liao and I came back to perth, and  had some good lessons with our investigators, Overall was good , we taught Ashleigh the Plan of Salvation, and she was excited about it and we read the Book of Mormon with Beth, Members. We signed each other's T- Books and chatted.

Wednesday was our last day at British Heart, Well mine at least. I said goodbye to them all  not knowing I was leaving, we will be stopping in again to say bye today. Afterwards we met up for a teach but it didn't happen, then went out to Newburgh it was fun, we climbed a hill for our lunch break, then went to a less actives, there was no man available so we called bishop and he showed up which was amazing. Then got to have dinner with a cool family. We then had choir Practice and that was funny. Overall good day.

Thursday, we had a good lesson with William which was nice,  then we went out to McDonald's for lunch, Elder Patterson's card wasn't working so because their machine wouldn't accept his card he got free Lunch :P Talk about miracles. It was fun then for once we actually completed Weekly Planning on a Thursday :) Wahoo

Then We had a few more good lessons, and a young man came to teach with us which was fun then we were treated to dinner at a nepalese restaurant, It was delicious.

Friday Was a great day,
We had some Finding in the morning then went to see Eleanor and her friend was there so we shared Abide with me which was nice, got to say goodbye, Then went to see Beth and that was good as well, abit of confusion, but she is understanding
We then got to meet with Sam and have a testimony meeting, unfortunately he had to go back to Glasgow :( But he was awesome. We then got a lift out with friends  to our dinner appointment so we wouldn't have to bus it, and had a fun expeirence with the sat nav taking us the wrong way but it was fun, Then we went and brought Sam with us to see a musical created by People in dundee and it was a church musical called Catch the Vision, it was excellent, one of the members in our branch was in it so it was nice to support them. However we had to stay the night in Dundee with little money, but it was good.

The next day Aimee had a coffee Morning (No Cofffee) For cancer fundraising so we went to support her and alot of people form the church came, we ate cake, chatted, and strengthened relationships. It was a good day  We then had a day of finding, tracting and street contacting which was nice unfortunately no potentials yet but takes time :)

Then yesterday, we got photos with the members in anticipation to moves calls, and I was the last one to recieve my moves call, which came at like 9:40.

And as you know I am whitewash opening a new area in Kirkcaldy, so that is exciting.

Love you All

Monday Sept 15, 2014 - A short but good one, with 4 pictures!!

This week has been incredible, To Start it off We were able to hit 11 joint teaches with a branch of about 30-40 active members so that is absolutely incredible to see the work that can happen.

As usual let's talk about the studies, all of a sudden my brain went blank, so bear with me.

I think I started off studying about prayer and revelation. Yeah I am quite sure that is what happened.
I was using True To the Faith, and looked at prayer and revelation and how to receive these things from the Lord so that was good. I received a lot of things I have received in the past but it is always good to know how to receive revelation and the different forms in which it can come.

Next I was reading the Book of Moses in Pearl of Great Price for zone interview training. We were asked to prepare a 10 minute talk without notes on how the fall created the need for the atonement. As I studied Moses, I found out more about the atonement, more about the fall and was able to understand better the stories of Moses.

I can't remember what else happened. My week though was fun

This week we had 11 joint teaches and had great lessons with all we taught, had a good time met some new people and saw some people we haven't seen much.

My brain is fried I apologize.
Next week will be better.
We are going into Dundee for P-day also so can't write too much
